E-Mentorship

Introducing the HOPSA E-Mentorship Program

  • Mentorship and sponsorship are key drivers of success. The HOPSA E-mentoring program aims to invest in our students to develop and graduate confident, college-bound, career-focused young women ready to join the next generation of professional women.
  • Our goal is to encourage HOPSANS whose career paths align to motivate students with similar interests through our group mentoring program.
  • Mentor once, and you will be empowering these students to think about and plan for life after high school.
  • So HOPSANS, no matter what stage you’re at in your career, you can be a mentor. Don’t underestimate the value of your input.
  • We will be asking you to commit time once a quarter to developing the mentees. During these sessions, mentors will answer mentees’ questions and give thoughtful and thorough input.
  • Mentees will be required to provide regular updates. Mentee updates will present opportunities to offer mentee-specific input for improving performance. In addition, mentors will need to give direct, actionable feedback. Your honest feedback will help students advance more quickly.
  • Mentors: Don’t just mentor—sponsor! The best mentors go beyond mentorship and advocate for their mentees. Find ways to open doors for students and invest in their success.

HOPSA USA-CANADA E-Mentorship Program

The HOPSA USA-CANADA E-Mentorship Program supports students with the knowledge to choose career paths that will ensure success in the future. Mentorship is a crucial driver of success. Women mentored by other women feel more supported and are often more satisfied with their career choices.

The vision of the HOPSA USA-Canada E-mentoring program is to provide a career development guidance resource for students of Holy Child School. The girls, we believe, are at a critical age where the decisions they make today will tremendously impact their futures. The main objective of our group mentoring program is to develop and graduate confident, college-bound, career-focused young women ready to join the next generation of professional women by engaging HOPSANs whose career paths align with the student’s interests to motivate them.

Career development is our priority. The critical role of the mentors is to help mentees find what they are passionate about and provide guidance in assisting the mentees get to their goals. We advise, motivate, mentor, support, train, and coach our students. All HOPSANs qualify to be mentors. The commitment is about two hours once a quarter via a virtual meeting. Mentors and mentees are assigned based on interests.

The E-mentoring program was launched in the summer of 2022. The program started with second-year students and has expanded to include the first years at the request of the headmistress. The program relies on a functioning computer lab with audio and video capabilities. We have faced several challenges and are looking forward to the day where each student will be assigned one computer for a mentoring session.

Please consider being a part of this initiative. Volunteer your time and support us financially to purchase laptops, desktops, webcam and wifi to ensure a successful E-Mentorship Programs. No amount is too small. We know we can count on you. ACTIONS NOT WORDS.
