- Confidentiality: Protect the privacy of alumni information and adhere to established guidelines.
- Professionalism: Conduct oneself in a manner that reflects positively on the alumni association and our Alma Mater
- Inclusivity: Foster an inclusive environment that welcomes all members, regardless of personal or professional background or titles.
Specific Behaviors to Avoid:
- Harassment and Discrimination: Refrain from any form of harassment, discrimination, or bullying.
- Threats and Intimidation: Avoid any behavior that could be perceived as threatening or intimidating.
- Defamation and Misinformation: Refrain from spreading false or misleading information about other members or the Association.
- Breach of Confidentiality: Do not disclose confidential information about other alumni without their consent.
Specific to Alumni Associations:
- Supporting the Mission: Embrace and support the mission and goals of HOPSA USA-Canada
- Upholding the Values: Behave in a way that upholds the values, integrity, and reputation of HOPSA USA-Canada.
- Using Information Appropriately: Use information about alumni within the guidelines of HOPSA USA-Canada.
- Taking Responsibility: Take responsibility for your actions and decisions.
- Supporting Leadership: Support and uphold the decisions of the association’s leadership.
- Creating a Positive Experience: Strive to create a positive and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
